Solimar Energy

Projects / Bayswater

Asset: Bayswater (Solimar 1.13% carried interest plus 0.50% royalty over part of acreage)
Location: NW San Joaquin Basin, east and adjacent giant Kettleman Dome oil and gas field
Description:
Area: 101,283 acres (gross)

Technical:

Huge acreage position, mostly prospective for sandstone and fractured oil shale targets down to +15,000 depth.

Solimar is carried through two wells by TSX listed Zodiac Exploration (ZEX) the first of which the Zodiac 4-9, a vertical appraisal well, was drilled to 14,961 feet in March 2011.  Zodiac announced up 1,000 feet of potential hydrocarbon pay in stacked sandstone and shale reservoirs.

A lengthy testing program is being carried out in the 4-9 discovery well.  A production test of a 30 ft interval in the Kreyenhagen Shale flowed 29 degree API oil at a stablised rate of 24 bopd.

Zodiac spudded followup 1-10 horizontal well in June 2011.  Solimar is participating in this well at its working interest level.

Forward Plan:

Observe Zodiac drilling and production testing programs and apply learnings to other projects.
